Remote app not working after system update?
I'm using a 3rd party remote app on my Kindle (RemRok). After performing a Roku system update on 12/13/24, my remote app lost all functionality. I had to download the official Roku remote app from google play onto my phone to use as my only means of getting into the settings at that point. I don't know if a new update changes the setting automatically or not, but I found the issue quickly! If this ever happens to you - here's the fix which worked for me!
SETTINGS - SYSTEM - ADVANCED SYSTEM SETTINGS - CONTROL BY MOBILE APPS - NETWORK ACCESS - ENABLED (choose ENABLED instead of LIMITED).
I hope this helps some folks going forward. Seen plenty of similar complaints with no viable solutions offered. Merry Christmas!
