Hi,
Newbie here. I have a brand new (January 2025) Roku 55 inch Pro Series 4K QLED television (55R8B5) paired with a new Polk Signa S4 Soundbar with wireless subwoofer. I really like both the television and the soundbar, it's a great combination of both audio and visual for my smaller great room! The Roku remote is the rechargeable remote voice pro 2nd edition (latest and greatest).
The problem I am having is volume increments. With the Polk soundbar turned off, the tv volume increments go up and down by 1 at a time as normal, all good. BUT, when the soundbar is turned on, the volume increments go up and down mostly in increments of 2 at a time. 4 to 6, 6 to 8, etc. Periodically (weirdly) it will increment normally by 1, but mostly it increments up or down by 2.
So obviously the soundbar is in play here as the volume increments normally with the soundbar off. The soundbar is connected to the Roku tv through the HDMI eARC port. Connecting the soundbar to any of the regular HDMI ports doesn't work at all, no audio.
I can't find any settings on either my soundbar or the Roku television that would resolve this. Can I live with it? Yes, but would sure be nice if I could get the soundbar and the tv to play nice with each other and increment volume up and down by a level of 1 with each click. I have tried re-pairing remotes but no joy. I've seen other forum posts with volume jumping up in 3s, so similar issue but found nothing within those posts that helps me directly.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
