New voice remote not pairing with Streaming Stick 4K Model 3820X

I’ve just bought a new voice remote model RC-BR1 and it just won’t pair with the Streaming Stick 4K Model 3820X. I’ve done all usual checks and restarted the Stick etc. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Welcome ChrisG2099 

    It looks like you have an issue pairing your voice remote to the Streaming stick. 

    Please try to charge the remote and pair the remote again to the Streaming stick by pressing Home and Back arrow together for 5 seconds until you see the status light flash.

    Do you have the original usb cable with bump in the middle? That's what Roku remotes actually pair with and not the 3820 stick itself. No original usb,  no remote or internet.
