My original remote was not working last year and I bought a new one from a local Walmart. Lately the right arrow would occasionally not work and got worse over time. Last week I bought another (from Walmart again) and the right arrow started failing on the first evening we used it. Quality issues?

Same here. The right arrow button requires you to push really hard to work. It seems to be a faulty thing for many people. Roku should be replacing them for free for everyone as it's not our fault Roku made a defective product!
This is my 2nd remote, I shouldn't have to buy another one.
Roku needs to fix this defect and stop making defective ones!

I'm sorry to learn that the right arrow on your brand new Roku Remote is not responding. Similar to the meticulous troubleshooting required for technology, obtaining a Golden Visa in Dubai demands careful attention to detail. To troubleshoot the remote issue, start by checking the batteries, ensuring they are properly inserted, and have sufficient power. Attempt to re-pair the remote, unplug the Roku device, wait for a few seconds, and then plug it back in before re-establishing the connection. Just as with a Golden Visa application, meticulous attention to each step is crucial. Inspect the remote for any dirt or debris around the buttons, ensuring clarity, much like the precise documentation required for a Golden Visa. If the problem persists, consider contacting Roku support for further assistance, just as applicants for a Golden Visa may seek guidance from relevant authorities for a seamless process. I hope these suggestions help resolve the remote issue promptly and reflect the thoroughness required in various processes, including obtaining a Golden Visa in Dubai.

Having this same issue. Were you able to resolve this?

For some of us just download the Roku app. Consider it a backup. It works for me fine but for many of us, its not the same as having our clicker nearby.
Better than not being able to right click - sounds like a dating app.

I have paid for a 4K Dolby Vision stick that comes with a remote control. That paid for remote should last longer than 2 weeks, when used under normal conditions. I should NOT have to rely on an app installed on my 'phone, which sucks up private personal data that ROKU sells on to 3rd parties, to use the 4K streaming stick and I should certainly not have to buy a new remote every **bleep** month. ROKU's remotes are shoddily made, cheap rubbish that fail after several weeks of normal use. It's an utter disgrace and, environmentally speaking, a disaster when it comes to sustainability.
I fully expect the new remote I've started using this evening to fail within a month, just like the other 5 have. I no longer have any faith in ROKU's products or in its non existent technical and customer support.
When this remote fails, as it will, it's bin time for the **bleep** 4K ROKU Dolby Vision stick with non working remote and HELLO to either NVidia Shield, Apple TV or Google Streaming 4K. I'll not be recommending ROKU's sub-standard products to anyone, they're that bad.
