  • Hi Travistreeguy,

Thanks for your first post in the Roku Community!

I understand that you want to temporarily connect your ONN Roku TV to your mobile hotspot, but you are only getting an error X on the internet. No worries, I will be more than willing to provide you with further details about this.

When you get an X error on the Internet and a green check mark for Wireless, it only means that your Roku can connect to your network but is unable to connect to the Internet. I highly suggest trying the following.

Restart your Roku: You can restart your Roku by unplugging it from the power source, waiting a few moments, and then reconnecting it. You can also restart your Roku from the Settings menu.

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Power. If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step.
    5. Select System restart

Check your hotspot's signal strength: A poor signal strength can prevent your hotspot from working.
Check your data limit: If you've reached your data limit, you might not be able to get a connection. You can try setting a higher data limit for your device.
