This morning, I turned on the TV using Roku Express, used the Roku remote and the screen automatically goes to Sling app and stays stuck there. I reset the Roku, took batteries out, tried it again and once the batteries go in, same result - just goes to the Sling app and stays stuck. Please advise how to fix this.

Does your remote have a shortcut button for Sling? Is it stuck? Try pulling up on it.

  Good idea. I took a look at that, I don't think that's the issue. So frustrating. I rarely use this device, but started to more with the pandemic, and now it doesn't work. I really hope Roku responds to this with a solution soon.

    Take the batteries out of the remote or take in to another room away from tv. Unplug the roku for bit, then plug it back in, and see if it goes to the sling app on it own without the remote in sight?

I turned on my TV using Roku Express, then I used my Roku remote. The screen automatically goes to Sling App and stays stuck there. I cannot go back to the home screen. It just stays on the Sling App. I reset the Roku, took batteries out of my remote, and tried it again and once the batteries go in, same result. Also, I tried not clicking anything on the remote once the Roku is turned back on, and about 10 seconds of it being on it automatically goes to the Sling App. Can someone help with this?

    I am having the same exact issue. I thought my Roku had gone bad. I purchased a new Roku Express and now it is doing the same thing. I turn on the Roku , even if I leave it on the home page and do not touch the remote m, after 10 seconds or so Sling TV comes up. I try exiting and Sling just comes back up.

  Could you tell us exactly the issue you're experiencing? Have you tried restarting your Roku? When you restarted it, does it automatically launch Sling?

    We had for 2 days the display stuck on the sling box screen (sign in).
    
    we had something to watch live so I was able to use phone remote.
    
    batteries have been changed, removed from room, unplugged everything multiple times.
    
    Today... goes to fish screen but nothing on remote works. NOTHING.

    My Roku is doing the same thing! How do I fix it? And no the button is not stuck!!
