Hi Jbzic,
A warm welcome here in the Roku Community!
We'd like to investigate further this issue that you're experiencing. Could you elaborate more about the problem that you had? What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
With detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
John
Reproduction steps:
- Connect soundbar to Roku via HDMI-ARC and configure it so that soundbar volume and power are controlled by Roku remote.
- Using Spotify on iOS, select the option to play a song on the Roku using the Roku's Spotify app. The app will open and music will play.
- Try controlling the volume via the iOS device using either the Roku volume buttons, the device volume buttons, or anything else.
- The volume will momentarily change as desired and then go wild with a mind of its own, usually gradually lowering the volume down to zero.
Aside from power cycling everything I have no idea what troubleshooting steps to do.

Please try to remove and re-add the Roku mobile app. Let's try to see if that will be able to fix the issue.
If the problem still persists, please keep us posted.
