I have the same issue. I'm using a Roku Premiere (which I bought used) connected to a wireless router/modem that's about 15-20' away. The cords attached to the router aren't long enough to move it any closer to the Roku. My Internet service through Mediacom is 100 Mb/sec, and I have an Amazon Fire tablet and a Kyocera cell phone that can both connect to my WiFi network with no issues. I've tried changing the wireless broadcast channel and enabling the 5GB signal through my router's control panel; neither of these have worked. I do seem to get better download speeds at night for some reason, but that doesn't do me much good first thing in the morning when I want to catch up with a few YouTube videos before I go to work. Are there any other ways to fix this, or should I just upgrade to an Ultra and use a wired connection instead?

I am having the same issue. It started about a week ago. I have 2 other Roku devices that work perfectly fine. I have a Roku tv and than I have 2 Roku express. The one in my daughter's playroom is the one that is saying "internet download speed is poor". I changed the channel, nothing, moved my router closer, nothing, I took the Roku out of her play room and plugged it into the tv in the front room it says it again. I plug the "original Roku back in the front room, no problem. I even bought a new Roku tv and it gave me the "internet download poor". I've done nothing different!!! How do I fix this. 🤬

Having the same problem no fix found and I upgraded to an Ultra that worked temporarily but now doing the same thing as well as dropping the signal all together if doing a check connection test even if the streaming seems fine so now I can’t even see what speeds it’s actually getting ,, had no problems with Roku for Four plus years and now I’ve got nothing but

I am sorry to hear this. As I have mentioned before, this drove me crazy for several months and then suddenly the problem stopped on all three of my Roku devices. I have no idea why they can fix it for some and not for others. And don't let them tell you it is a router problem or an ISP problem or a WiFi problem. It is definitely their problem.

Hi Danny, this problem is very unusual, my Nvidia is showing 80mbs down with an ethernet connection and on the same connection my Roku TV is reporting between 12 - 14 mbs down. If I run analiti I show about 80mbs download?

You've contacted ROKU? If not, I don't think they monitor these "customer community" questions, so you can try the article link below, or try the "Agent support" link, to see if you can get personalized help. Good luck.

My Roku Premier+ is connected via a 5 ft ethernet cable to the router. I verified the connection from the router to the Roku is able to download 230mb but when I run the speedtest on the Roku it says I am only downloading 64mb which is causing issues when I watch 4k content. How can I fix this problem?

It's doubtful anything can be done about this "problem". 64Mbps should be more than adequate for anything. You're "problem" likely lies elsewhere.

20 mghz throughout the house, excellent internet connection but 0-5 internet speed on Roku screen. Why?

Thanks for the post.
Can you please provide more information about the issue you are experiencing? What Roku model device are you using? What network frequency is your router using?
With more information we will be able to assist you further.
Thanks,
Danny

I recently got a Verizon branded Android tv streaming box on Tuesday. It comes with a wireless AC wifi adapter and with a good not great wifi signal it connects to my router at 846mbps. All of my 5 Roku devices are wireless AC devices and connect at 169mbs back to my router with a strong signal.

I'd be thrilled if mine would connect at all.
