'Insufficient power' or 'low power' warning

My Roku has been in use and running fine for several days.  Now, the go.roku.com/lowpower warning pops up.  The system constantly locks up and the screen show "not connected" in the top right and the remote is unresponsive.  It is plugged into the Roku Streaming Stick with the factory USB-C wire AND I added a new USB Power supply to the wall rather than plugging it into the TV.  Despite this effort, the Red light keeps flashing on the Roku Stick.
