I'm having issues connecting my roku ultra LT to my Orbi router

I've had the stick for years with no issues. Recently upgraded my Orbi router to the latest one they have that uses WPA 3, which the stick does not support. I purchased the Ultra LT that states it supports WPA 3. I had a bit of trouble getting it setup, but eventually I got it working. About 15 mins later, it drops network connectivity. I established the connectivity and watched tv for about another 15 mins or so when the network connection dropped again. Now it won't connect to my wifi at all. I've rebooted both router and roku many times. I've created a guest network to connect to, which works for about 30sec before dropping connectivity. My signal strength is strong with nothing blocking me from the router. I'm out of ideas.

  • SagrinI would just ignore the roku admin, they mean well but know almost nothing. Even if resetting your connection works, it's not a solution to the problem, it's temporary.

It's likely the Orbi routers Fast Roaming settings, which devices like the Roku LT don't play well with.

In the Orbi's settings you can disable it: Advanced > Advanced Setup > Wireless Settings > Fast Roaming

Putting the router into WPA2/3 mixed mode might also help, because the WPA3 implementation via Roku might be buggy. Not all Orbi routers have this option though.

    ALSO

Try assigning a static IP for the Roku in the routers admin panel, under "attached devices", and assign it a static IP.

If neither of that works, try creating a 2.4ghz network in Orbi, it's less likely but 5ghz might not be playing well with the Roku.
