Provide a way to turn off the backlight feature on the newest remote.

I’d like a flashlight 🔦 built in, if there is enough battery power.

There are two features/buttons that I really miss: 1) A "menu" or "guide" button, and 2) An "info" button.

It looks like they added a guide button, but I agree with the "info" and/or "menu" button or any button(s) that Roku won't commandeer like they have with the asterisk button. Apps have practically no buttons they can use. so they have to resort to kludges like long presses or other non-intuitive controls like pressing an arrow button to bring up a menu.

The new Voice Remote Pro v2 has a guide button.

The RC880 and RCB1r have a programmable quick launch button which give you multiple choices of TV apps and functions, and a guide button which provide multiple channels of viewing pleasure.
the backlit feature allowed finding the black remote among your other black tech stuff. I’m particular jazzed by the heavy duty battery. The RC917 never fully charged. An honest tech support rep admitted many complaints of the unchargable RC917.
very happy with the new remote. Very happy.

Sometimes, I mistakenly hit a button, and lose the stream I am watching.
I’d like a button to return my viewing exactly where it came from. In the case of Paramount Plus, I am set for 2 people.
So I have to go to Paramount, select myself, find the show, and return to where I was. One “Quick Launch” “return to last viewed” would do it. - BCL65Newbie
I use the Roku remote app. I wouldn't recommend adding anything - I fact, I recommend getting rid of the newest feature... unsolicited ads for Facebook, Temu, et. al. If Roku insists that I need these ads, then I guess it's time for me to change platforms!!

Unless you want to spring for an Apple TV device, ads on the home screen will be a fact of life for virtually any streaming device.

I'd like a better over-the-air experience. That probably means a separate version of your remote with numbers AND an input button. I use mine with a separate multi-remote and its input button brings up a simple menu that I CANNOT get with the Roku remote. Only problem is the volume/mute and number zero aren't supported with my GE multi-remote. If Roku offered a separate remote for over-the-air users, I'd buy two for every TV and Roku dongle in my house (that would now be 8 purchases)!

Hi Roku! Love the new 2nd Edition of the Voice Remote Pro! Backlit, Finally! (welcome to the Party!) The GUIDE button is cool, but useless to me so far. Here's what it needs: have it open like the Rocket Launcher button and allow the user to program it to the app of their choice. Guess what they're gonna choose? I'll tell you: YouTube TV, Hulu TV, Plex, HD Homerun, or whichever app they used to watch Live Local TV on a traditional TV Guide grid. These are customers who pay a premium price for their (True) Live TV, or who have gone to a lot of trouble to install an antenna and set up something like Tablo or HD Homerun with Plex so they can enjoy True OTA TV without a monthly subscription. I will not be plugging a coax cable into my TV like my parents did in the 1970's to make the GUIDE button relevant, so that will not be the solution.
This is my suggestion: please make the GUIDE button relevant by making it work (like the Rocket Launcher button does) to allow the customer to choose the app of their choice.

The ability to open directly in the Xfinity Stream app, not the Roku Home Screen. Thanks for asking.
