How to keep Roku from defaulting to the screen saver? Defeat auto install of other programs?

Hello experts!

How to keep Roku from defaulting to the screen saver?  If I pause programing more than 3 or 4 minutes, it removes my show and defaults to the screen saver.  Is there a way to defeat this?

Another intermittent issue is when the screen saver pops up, it tries to install another streaming platform I never asked for?  I have the pin so it won't fully install without my pin.  This should never happen.

    • You could set a longer time before the screen saver kicks in or disable it altogether via  Settings > Theme > Screensaver >  Screensaver start time.
    • Press a key other than Play/Pause (and maybe OK?) to exit the screensaver.   Popular scrolling Roku screensavers have ads built in for various channels that a Play keypress will activate, offering to install the channel if necessary.  I usually press Home or Options (*) to exit a screensaver.
    • Switch to a different screensavecthat doesn't have scrolling ads.
