Hisense Roku TV Error 003

I have been having problems getting the Roku Channel to show content lately. Other streaming apps in the Roku interface (PlutoTV and Tubi) have been working fine.

While trying to debug on my own, one of the suggestions was for a reset. When that did not work, I followed the directions for a Hard Reset.

When I get back in, the 1st step is to setup the Roku TV. I entered my WiFi network username/password (router is too far away to connect with eithernet). The Roku shows it is connected, and then it tries to update the software.  That's when it gives me a dialog box that says:

Can't update.
Can't update software. Please wait a few minutes and try again.
Error 003

This has been happening for over 24 hours.

All I can do is exit setup. I can still watch live TV on the Hisense TV through the connected antenna, but now all of the streaming services from Roku are gone.

What are other steps that I could try?

I think I bought this TV back in 2017. So, I have been using the Hisense Roku TV for about 7 years. I don't have the receipt anymore.

Thanks for the confirmation. To get this investigated, please provide the following details:

        • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (It can be found in Settings > System > About)
        • Tracker ID (Press Home five times, then press Back button five times when the issue occurs)
        • Internet Service Provider

Try connecting to your phone's hotspot (if possible) to get through the initial update.  Otherwise, you may have to move the TV closer to the router.

OK, that got me connected. There was an update that it installed, rebooted, and then I went through the setup.

I also connected it back to my home network because I only have 5g of data per month on my phone.

Now, whenever I navigate into the Roku Channel, I am presented with a list of titles that are currently available, but if I select any, I get this message:

      Cannot access program
This program is not available or has expired.
      [OK]

Does this mean anything to you?

I'm sure I can reconnect using my phone's Hot Spot, but it will eat through my data quickly.
