Had to go back to old ROKU battery remote. New rechargeable remote will not adjust volume

Rechargeable ROKU will not adjust volume. Using 5G, removed and re paired with tv to different channels, did update, did two different restarts, fully charged, signal set to IR, have followed all ROK...

Did you set the new remote up for the TV?  Ie: go through the part where music is playing and it asks you if it stopped? (or maybe if the music started – I can’t remember which way it is now.)
