Express 4K+ always says no internet connection

Several months ago, I upgraded from a Streaming stick to a BR Roku Express 4K+ device. I am using it wirelessly in a bedroom on a Samsung TV.  When we launch the device it always says no internet connection, but as I move forward in the process the connection is actually there.  I have to check the wireless connection by stepping through the network choices, password, etc. The device stores all of that saved data.  It is just forcing me to make the selections.  This was not happening until just recently and, it never was an issue with the streaming stick.
