Error code 004 for update

I am having this same issue but have tried all of the many solutions I have read about on here and nothing works. It keeps doing the same thing. My internet connection is excellent. I have two other Rokus in my house that are working just great with no issues. It is only this one that is giving me problems. It streams fine except that it has now started opening and immediately closing out Max and it wasn’t doing that before. All other apps seem to be streaming just fine. But the update will not complete. It gets to 91% every time. I really don’t want to do a factory reset if I don’t have to. I honestly do not think this is a connectivity issue. Please help.

    We want to further investigate this issue that you had with the Roku device since it can't finish the update. Can you please provide the following information below?

    • What Roku device are you using right now? (Roku Express, Roku streaming stick, Roku Ultra, Roku streambar, Roku TV-Specify)
    • How far is your Roku device from your network router?
    • Do you have cellular data so we can try connecting your device to your hotspot?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you taken so far?
