DVD player channel box show preview, but DVD will not open full screen

Older Sony DVD player connected via RCA cables (yes, RCA cables) to a new Hisense Roku TV. The DVD screen shows up in the channel box on the Roku homepage and it played movies without any issues for a couple days. The preview window still shows the DVD screen, but clicking OK on the DVD channel will not open full screen. Rebooted both devices and everything else works fine. Trying to solve this for senior parents 500 miles away, so I hope it's an easy solution. 😉

    We understand you are having difficulties using the DVD player with your Hisense Roku TV.

    Have you tried contacting Hisense Support yet to inquire further? I'd suggest starting there to see what options or suggestions they can provide. Each Roku TV manufacturer provides direct support and warranty services for their products running the Roku OS.
