Yes it does. I am having that issue right now with my Roku ultra. An hour after my son has finished watching YouTube kids I will open the app expecting it to go to the profile page but it immediately continues playing in the middle of whatever video was previously on..
JuztFJ, the app isn't running in the background. You're observing Roku's new "instant resume" feature that Youtube has taken advantage of. The state of the app is saved and then restored the next time the app is launched. If you don't like the behavior, keep pressing the Back button (the button to the left of the Home button) until you're completely out of the app instead of just pressing Home.

You can get stuck on semantics if you like, the point here is the bottom line issue.
