Device won't show on the Roku Mobile app

My Roku is still working. But through the app it does not showing up through devices anymore like it used to. I have uninstalled the app I have looked for updates which there are none. I have turned off the diet device and turn it back on plugged it from the TV and waited and replugged it back in. And done a factory reset. And nothing. Any suggestions?

  • Hey there! jamyagant

It seems you're unable to connect your Roku TV to the Roku mobile app. You can follow these steps:

    • Make sure your devices are on the same network
    • Restart RokuSettings > System > Power > System restart
    • Restart the Roku mobile app
    • You can also uninstall the Roku mobile app and install it once again.

After doing those steps. Connect to your Roku device manually.

    Hope this helps!

    Hi! atebbens

It looks like your Roku Mobile app isn’t detecting your device anymore. There could be a few reasons for this.

    1. Make sure your Roku device and your phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    2. Check the email linked to your Roku device matches the one you're signed into on the Roku Mobile app—both should be under the same email.
    3. You can also try rebooting the Router and doing a System restart (Home > Settings > System > Power > System restart).

Please check out this support link: |How to connect your phone to a Roku streaming device with the Roku mobile app| For more instructions, and know how to connect manually.

    Hope this helps!

Thank you for your prom to reply. So I did everything that you asked I even restarted my router living in a mass community. And hearing from my brother-in-law who lives in a separate household who also uses a Roku app, he is also having the same issue. So I believe the issue does not just evolve around me.

I forgot to mention I downloaded other Roku remote apps and I received the same problem. And I've made no changes to the settings that I had when the remote worked the first time

        Thanks for following up! atebbens

We’d like to look into this further. Could you please provide the following details?

        • Roku device info: Device ID and Serial Number (found in Settings > System > About).
        • Tracker ID (press Home5x and Back5x when you see the issue.)
        • Phone brand or model

  • i have tried EVERYTHING. i cannot connect my tv to the roku app no matter what i do. someone said something about AP isolation or whatever, but i have spectrum and they said there’s no setting like that for the router. on the roku app, it shows my tv in devices in account, it’s just not connecting to it. i tried to do it manually, but it’s telling me ways that i don’t have a device when it’s literally sitting in my face. this didn’t happen before the roku app stopped working for months. what do i even do?
