Continually Restarts, can't get to Home Screen

When I turned in my TV, it immediately restarted. I got the "Philips TV | Roku" screen and it restarted again, over and over. I can't access settings. Not sure how to fix this. Resetting didn't help.

  • Hi joyfulmother,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention!

We understand that you're having issues with your Roku TV. We'd be glad to assist.

May we know when did you start having this issue? How are you powering your Roku TV? Also, we would suggest that you give the following steps a try:

    1. Power-cycle your Roku: Unplug it from the wall power outlet and plug it back in.
    2. Restart your Roku TV: Go to Settings > System > Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) > System Restart.
    3. Last resort, factory reset: Go to Settings > System > Advanced system settings > Factory reset.
Let us know if none of these worked for you. Keep us posted.

    Best regards,

  • Hi Nextflight,

Thanks for the post to the Roku Community!

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused. That's not what we aim for.

In this case, we recommend factory resetting your Roku TV. Here's how:

    1. Locate the reset button on your Roku device, which is usually on the back or bottom.
    2. Ensure your Roku TV is powered on.
    3. Press and hold the reset button for exactly 10 seconds.
    4. Watch for a fast-blinking light, indicating that the reset is in progress.
    5. Once the light blinks at a normal rate, release the button.

You may visit our Support article for more detailed factory reset instructions.

Please keep us posted on how it goes, and we'll continue assisting you from there.

    All the best,
    Chel

I've had a few issues the past couple days.  On Monday night my TV jumped to the home page in the middle of a TV program and started clicking as if the converter was being used. I couldn't do anything with the converter so I turned it off with TV power button. I changed batteries in the converter. And tried turning the TV on. It did the same thing. I powered off, unplugged and disconnected from my Rogers Ignite. I watched a different TV that night in my bedroom. Tuesday, I replugged and reconnected everything. It worked for a little while and did the same thing again. I unplugged and disconnected again. Today I plugged in the TV but did not connect Rogers. It came on but now I can't get the home page. It is stuck on a Global TV Add App screen and will not move. I powered off again and now it turns on by itself and flashes past the home page to the Global TV screen. It will not move from that screen. I cannot access settings or anything else.  Any suggestions?

  • So mentioned, I can't access settings. I can't get to home page because it starts over and over. I have to unplug to turn it off.
