Connectivity Error 014.50 but Wifi is working fine

My Element Roku TV has suddenly stopped being able to connect to Wifi. Nothing has changed on my end. My other brand Roku tv is connected fine, the wifi is working fine on my phone and laptop as well.

In settings, it is detecting my network and says the strength is excellent. I’ve tried restarting my tv multiple times, I’ve gone into advanced settings and reset connections, I’ve tried multiple different wifi networks, I’ve put in the wifi password multiple times checking for spelling errors, I’ve checked for new system updates.

My only guess is this is a system update issue as it says it was last updated since the last time I used my tv?

I am having the same issue. Neither of my Roku Ultra devices are connecting to my wifi network, but every other device in my home connects. The signal is excellent. There has to be a common connection because this happened to both of my boxes.

I have 3 roku devices and only one that won't connect.  Worked fine yesterday morning but hasn't worked since.  There is an extender 3 feet from it.  The other 2xare farther away and work fine.

        Hey Gcoffey,

Error code 014.50 usually means your Roku can't connect to the internet. You can try these steps.

        • Restart your Roku: Settings > System > Power > System restart.
        • Restart your modem and router.
        • Set up Connection: Setting > Network > Set up Network

If it's still not working, feel free to let us know.

        Thanks,

        Roku Community Team

  • Turns out my router was fine but my modem was not connected. I want even looking at my modem. I had to call spectrum to get help figuring it out.

  • I found this thread because this just happened to me. Did it ever actually get fixed?

      Hey B123451

      Thanks for contacting us!

You mentioned that you're having the same issue with others. To understand better, please provide this information:

      • Have you gotten the same error message or code when trying to connect?
      • Have you made any recent changes to your network or internet service provider?
      • When did this issue first occur?

In the meantime, Try connecting to a mobile hotspot and see if that fixes the problem.

Let us know what you find out!

Same issue. Roku won't connect to any other network after working fine for a year. All other devices connect just fine.
