Please excuse my ignorance, but specifically how do I connect my iPad or iPhone to the ROKU stick/module in order to complete the connection on the screen?

When you get to what is listed as step 7, you will be prompted on the tv screen as how to make the wifi-direct connection via your phone/tablet/laptop and establish the login.
