Can't Update Software

How do you call Roku to ask someone about a software update but it does not update

    Thanks for reaching out! You must have enabled the screen reader feature.

    To disable this, press the * (Star) button on your Roku remote four times quickly to toggle the screen reader off.

      I turned my TV on then I put it on Roku. It said update mash update. It said they could not update it now I only see a purple screen. My account has been paid for this month. Why I can’t see the home screen movie or anything

  • I had an update error 008 for ages. This is the only thing that fixed it! I tried all the reset suggestions and factory restore which is a huge pain, because you have to reinstall all the apps that you had if you can remember what they all are etc but you need to find the secret screen and it's actually called The Secret screen when you get it kudos too whoever uploaded this video on YouTube because it totally worked for us
