Can't Turn Off Samsung TV using Samsung Remote with Roku Device Connected

My ROKU device is connected to the Samsung TV which I purchased recently. I use the Samsung Remote to turn the TV on and off and also to control the volume. I am able to turn on the TV using the Samsung Remote but once on, I cannot turn it off using the Samsung Remote. The TV picture comes right back on. Samsung customer support was of no help, they referred me to ROKU support because an external device is connected. Has anyone else experienced this problem and have any suggestions for resolving this problem? Thank you.

    Go into the Roku settings> system> control other devices> uncheck the 1-touch play box.

      I had a problem with my new Samsung not turning off with roku, actually it would turn off but then turn itself back on, tried TV Setting and Roku settings and got nowhere. WHAT WORKED !!! NOT the TV settings NORE the Roku Device settings, I stumbled upon ANOTHER SETTINGS MENU on THE ROKU CHANNEL, Was able to Turn OFF "Auto On" !!!
