Thanks for the update, AndrewTham!
Have you given this step a shot?
- Remove the channel: Highlight the channel tile on your home screen and press Star to open the Options menu. Select Remove channel and confirm.
- Restart your Roku device: Go to Settings > System > Power > System restart > Restart Now.
- Re-install the channel: After your Roku device restarts, visit the Roku Streaming Store and add the channel again.
Let us know if that works!

I am reluctant to try the above suggestion. If I understand right, the channel is my YouTube channel.
I spent 99.9% of my Roku time on YouTube, and have saved MANY subscriptions, Likes, favorites etc.
I am guessing if I Remove the channel, all these saved settings are gone !
I believed the Roku bandwidth saver was working before the software update on 1/8/2025.
The following solution will be acceptable to me:
1) Disable the auto software update - how to do this ?
2) Revert back the software version before 1/8/2025.
I actually don't necessary want the streaming all the time. I have multiple account on the YouTube channel. All I wanted is for Roku to STAY ON the same account after I turn off the TV.
When I turn on the TV again, it just stay in the same account. Currently it goes back to the account selection and need me to select one of the account. I don't want to do this.

Thanks for keeping in touch, AndrewTham!
If you're feeling unsure about trying the steps below, no worries! Just so you know, even if you delete and reinstall the app, your subscriptions won't vanish; they're all linked to your account. Just log back into that account, and everything will be right where you left it!
Also, we still don't have the option to turn off the auto software update feature on Roku, as all Roku TV™ models and Roku® streaming players are designed to always run the latest software. Furthermore, we also don't have an option to revert the device's software once it has been downloaded.
In the meantime, we would recommend doing the above steps to see if there are any changes.
Let us know how it went!

I tried exactly the steps you indicated, ie. delete the YouTube account, restarted, then add back in the YouTube => the problem still remains.
My need is different from user Kimm0812. I do not need continuous streaming.
I always PAUSE the YouTube video before I turn off the TV. All I wanted is for Roku to stay onto the SAME PAUSE when I turn the TV back on.
If you have further suggestions, I am willing to try. Or else please make this a request for Roku to provide this feature.
Somehow the version before 1/8/205 is able to do what I wanted.

AndrewTham, that's not possible - you can't pause indefinitely. Some (I haven't figured out which) Roku devices will exit/kill an app when the TV is turned off and there's a hardcoded limit of 2 hours that will exit an app if there's no user interaction whether the TV is on or off.
