Hi BAMHousehold,
Welcome to the Roku Community!
Thank you for letting us know about the issues you've been experiencing with the Airplay feature on your Roku TV. No worries! We're here to investigate further.
- Could you please send us the software version of your Roku device by going to Settings> System> About?
In the meantime, you may also reset the existing paired devices on your Airplay by navigating to your iPhone's Settings > Airplay > About Airplay.
We look forward to hearing from you soon.
Thanks,
John
This has been happening to me as well for several weeks and is VERY ANNOYING! I have to power cycle my Roku TV every time I want to use AirPlay. Resetting my AirPlay devices has not fixed the issue. Resetting my router has not fixed the issue. Happening with multiple AirPlay capable devices. There has been at least one update to my TV since this started that still has not fixed the issue. We demand an update and resolution on this issue RokuJohnB.

Same thing happening to me. Without fail. Have tried all basic troubleshooting, resets. So awful to have this functionality ruined after working for so long, there has got to be a solution 😩
