I also really wish my Roku Ultra (2024) had a 1 gig ethernet port. Roku shouldn’t have done us dirty with 100mbps …
Please Roku correct this mistake of yours and introduce a Roku Ultra model with 1 gig port.
Agree! It really doesn't matter everything discussed in this thread. Please spare me the "well the average user just streams Netflix". 100 MBPS connections are technology from 1995. That's THIRTY YEARS AGO. We are not asking Roku to put 10GBPS ports on their device (although that would be great) but simply 1GBPS ports which as others have pointed out is 20 year old technology and very cheap parts. Most good WiFi7 routers now have 10GBPS port(s) and 2.5GBPS ports as well. My Plex server plays 4K movies just fine through my 8K Samsung Smart TV but struggles to keep up with my Roku Ultra on another non-smart TV. My AVR is fast, my HDMI is fast so the bottleneck clearly is the Roku Ultra.

Yup that’s why I rarely use plex on my Roku Ultra. Always have to switch to my Apple TV 4K or Shield Pro for that, because they both have 1gig ethernet.
