This is happening to me as well. Have tried all the usual fixes with no luck.

We noticed in your post that on your Roku Streambar when you play any of the channels, it will return to the Roku Home screen. We would like to take a closer look into this issue.
Before we proceed, we'd like to know the following:
- When did this issue start?
- Roku Streambar's model
- What is the software version of the Roku Streambar
In the meantime, we suggest you try the following:
Check your internet connection:
- Press Home on your Roku remote
- Scroll and select Settings
- Select Network
- Select Check connection

It started happening within the last week
