It's up to YouTube TV to make their apps have whatever functionality they want on whatever platforms they want.
Told me? Honestly, I don't even know what this is about.
But, like I said, you can hook whatever streaming sources you want to whatever TV you happen to have. No need to feel trapped by a smart TV (though I still continue to think that dumb TVs are better.)
