Very annoyed with Roku adding Showtime to the Paramount + subscription
Just received an email from Roku stating my Paramount + subscription was going up $2.00 because Roku decided to add Showtime to Paramount+.
I had a year subscription to Showtime and it was junk! Very poor movie selection, movie selection was slow to add new movies, and I found the movies it offered as older and already seen elsewhere.
Why not give Paramount + subscribers the option of adding on Showtime rather than force us to accept Showtime and endure another $2.00 plus tax every month?
Really annoyed with Roku for doing this. The fact it is adding Showtime for so little indicates Showtime isn't worth much and rightly so.

This isn't Roku's fault or decision. Paramount + merged with Showtime and increased the price, so there's no way to separate the two. It's a move by Paramount Global to help it stay competitive in the streaming wars.

Paramount (PARA ) announced its Paramount + with Showtime streaming offering will officially launch on June 27 for $11.99 a month.
The company had previously said it would merge its Paramount+ and Showtime streaming services into one offering, noting that the combination would show "how we can leverage our entire collection of content to drive deeper connections with consumers and greater value for our distribution partners."
