Indeed, obnoxious.
Here’s how I turned it off on my Roku:
A) Go to wallpapers and screensavers
B) Scroll way down to advanced settings, sponsored wallpapers.
C) Scroll way down to advanced settings, sponsored wallpapers.
D) Click on sponsored wallpapers and select “off“
It wouldn't let me select 'advanced on the left side but in the row of 6 blocks from left to right, I could select advance and click to turn it off. Thanks
