Thanks for the follow up regarding the issue you are experiencing.
It wasn't clear from your post if you were streaming The Roku Channel or connecting a Roku device to a PC to stream content, so we apologize for the confusion. Have you tried clearing your web browser cookies and cache to see if that helps the issue you are experiencing with playback? In addition, have you tried using another browser to see if the same issue occurs?

The problem seems to be only occurring in firefox, it plays fine in chrome.

As you mentioned, the site plays fine in Chrome, which suggests that the issue may be specific to Firefox. You can try clearing your browser cache and cookies.
