Roku login required every TV start

I am helping 92 year old father in law. Search forum does not provide solution.

How do I set device so login credentials are preserved and device auto displays active user viewing options instead of login request.

After two months, over weekend Sep20, device does not auto display Roku user menu viewing apps when TV starts.

Device asks for login email, scan qr etc. when TV turns on.

I am providing remote support unfortunately. I believe device is powered by wall outlet, not TV USB.

    Hey there! Grampy1933

Sounds like when the TV turns on, your Roku is asking for a login email and showing a QR code. That usually means it either reset itself or got disconnected from your Roku account.

     Try this:

      1. Link it back to your account-If it’s showing the QR code or asking for your email, just follow the setup steps on the screen to sign in again.
      2. Turn off power saving- Go to: Settings > System > Power > Auto Power Savings, and switch it off. This helps keep the device from resetting.
      3. Check for updates- Go to: Settings > System > System Update > Check Now to make sure everything’s up to date.
