No option to change language to English, states only Spanish available. It is an American movie.
I reinstalled Roku Channel app, unplugged Roku and restarted, updated system, still no option to change language from Spanish to English. I can only assume that the app or movie has been hacked. Is this a permanent problem on this app or device? Should I purchase a Fire Stick or Apple TV?
Probably more like someone pointed at the wrong file. I think TRC tends to be more interested in quantity than accuracy. I notice there are two movies by that name on The Roku Channel website. Both played in English for me. But the website might be pointing to an entirely different file for load balancing or due to different codecs.
To be fair, you see such complaints on Amazon's forum too. I don't browse Apple's so I can't say anything about their accuracy.
The Ugly Truth (2009) is the version on the Roku Channel playing in Spanish. (katherine heigl, gerard butler). Only one audio track is available.
Unfortunately, don't see it as available for free anywhere else on Roku.
Seems to be playing in English on the online Roku Channel https://therokuchannel.roku.com/watch/a9c8dafa2b5955db8357f43f3ec489fe but is playing in Spanish on the device Roku Channel.
Yes the online version on my laptop plays in English. I can't get my cast working so I can't watch on my TV. I was hoping TRC could just fix their error. Thanks for reply.
I was trying to play the movie from my Roku channel app on my Roku Ultra. The Roku online webpage is able to play the movie in English on my laptop. Thank you for replying.
