Roku Channel, Channel 120 zoomed in Live Now by Fox

After watching Live Now by Fox for about 60 seconds (Roku Channel 120), it zooms in so you can only see a portion of the screen.  I've seen this happen with other channels before but usually it is fixed within a day or two.  This has been several days, and I don't know who to contact to correct.  Thanks for any help.

  • Hi everyone,

    Thanks for the posts.

If this is the only channel you are currently experiencing this issue with, I'd recommend reaching out to channel provider directly to report the issue and request additional support. Many channels on the Roku platform are developed and maintained by the channel provider directly, and they'll be able to best assist. If other channels are working correctly, and you only experience this issue on that channel (app), that is likely an indication that the issue lies within that particular channel. In these cases, the channel provider will need to investigate the issue in order to help resolve it.

    Thanks,
    Danny

    Greetings everyone.

Here is a solution to work around the issue...

    Hey everyone,

I have not heard back from my inquires, I did find a work around...

    1. Download the Fox Now App on your Roku (it is free)

    2. Open the app, navigate to the News Tab at the top.

    3. Scroll down to the "Live Now" Row and select "LiveNow from Fox"

I know it is a few more steps but doing it this way, it does not zoom.

Does Roku only promote, support and provide liberal news?

  • Mine does this mostly on the same (120 Fox LiveNow) channel. It’s happened on other channels, but not as often. It’s been happening to me for about 2-3 months now. The TV in my bedroom is a 43” Hisense Roku TV and I have a Roku box connected to my living room TV because it’s not a smart TV, and this zoomed in problem only happens on my Roku TV in the bedroom. Odd..

  • Followed these steps, did not work and it’s happening only on the Roku channel for me and only on channel 120 (which is the only channel I want to watch! 😡)

      Hello Megk21

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.

In some cases, removing the affected channel then re-installing it may help. To ensure the process is successful, make sure to restart your device before adding the channel back in. We would recommend doing this from the Settings menu by navigating to Settings System System restart Restart.

For detailed instructions, refer to this Support link: How do I resolve channel playback issues?

Let us know if there's any difference after.

      All the best,
      Kariza

        @RokuKariza-D

Please see multiple customers are having this issue. Can you please contact the vendor on behalf of all of us? We would appreciate it. If not, can you give us contact information for LiveNow?

As of right now, the work around in this thread is to not use the Roku service, but use the FOX app instead.

I am certain that the Sr. Management team at Roku does not want their moderators allowing customers to "use another service provider" as a work around. It produces a loss of revenue and is a poor user experience.

  • Same issue.  Tried the System Restart method and it didn’t fix it.

I have a similar problem when using the Roku streaming channels on my TCL TV ( channel 120).  I got the same response from Roku and TCL support...' contact the app provider direct.' .  Does anyone know who or where that may be?

I would like a more permeant solution rather than adding an app.  It is much more convenient to tune to it on the TCL TV.

        Understandable..

The answer is to contact Roku's vendor (Fox), who pays Roku to have their channel within the Roku app. Acting on behalf of Roku as their freelancer customer support agent. Lol

Ask them to fix it on behalf of Roku, cuz all of Roku's customers are experiencing it on their channel. Maybe they'll listen to you and fix it?

I have similar problem and response.  Even talked to TCL tv manufacturer.  Everyone says get hold of Service App provider.  Isn't that Roku's task???

      Thanks for the posts.

Is this the only channel that you are experiencing this issue with or does it happen with other channels? Are you accessing these channels through OTA?

With more detailed information, we will be able to assist you further.

      Thanks,
