Are you using the proper credentials? You should be using whatever email address and password you've established with BritBox and not your Roku account email and password.
I tried to sign in with both Roku email and password and Brit Box email and password. Neither is accepted. I have had uninterupted service for 2 years.

Are you located in US and subscribe/pay directly to Britbox? If so, go to the Britbox website https://www.britbox.com/us/ and try to sign-in there.
It is possible you might need to change your password if you haven't in awhile. Sometimes just selecting "forgot password" or "reset password" is all that is needed. (some services just lock you out with no message that a password reset is needed).

Requiring a periodic password reset is universally agreed to be useless for security. It's nothing but a royal pain in the arse.

There are portals on the web that you can search for your passwords. (and see how exposed they are due to any database breaches). In some cases, you can also check the current price that your passwords are going for. (generally a compiled list).
Although I use a password manager that periodically checks for exposure, I still change my passwords about twice yearly. (at least once for non-sensitive sites). Any entity that is breached will not usually quickly notify you of a breach, and more often will delay notifying its users.
Those who use the same password for everything are in a very disadvantageous state because you will likely never know where the breach originated.
