Repetitive commercials on Roku Live TV

I don't mind commercials. At all. But FOR THE LOVE OF GOD it's driving us all to madness having to hear the EXACT SAME 5 COMMERCIALS OVER AND OVER AND OVER for what, over 7 months now??? NO MORE That's now we rooollll...on the rich eisen show TO ANOTHER LEVEL!! Weird Al I love Rocky Road Martha Stewart best life every freaking 10 minutes I am loosing my MIND. I work from home and like to keep Dateline on in the background but I just CAN'T deal anymore with this torturous loop. I will never watch or support any of these shows anymore, strictly out of spite. I literally want to murder Rich Eisen at this point. HAVE MERCY ROKU.

    A big ditto on the same commercials being played over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over .. and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over. Rat bastards! DO something about your OVERWHELMINGLY ANNOYING same commercials loop. Fire the programmer. Play music. Have the screen go blank. Anything OTHER than over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... and over ... Until you do, you suck Roku! And I'll be uninstalling your app and going over to Pluto!

    Thank you very much. I can't even watch the things I like because of  Weird Al Yankovic and all these other repetitive commercials. I have to change channels quickly or I'll go nuts. I'm thinking they're doing this on purpose.

    You're right. I'm so frustrated with the same thing constantly repeating that I have stopped watching roku as much. It's more stress than it's worth.

    I'm brand new to Ruku and streaming, I thought I was doing something wrong!   Are they retarded???   I'm a few days in, and about to throw it in the garbage.  YouTubeTV seems to have the same issue as well!   Maybe back to DirecTV

      I switched to Pluto - it has commercials but not the SAME ONES over & over.

        Same - commercials I can deal with but it’s serious psychological waterboarding to hear literally the exact same loud obnoxious commercials in the same order every 10 minutes ALL DAY EVERY DAY OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER

      Getting the paid YouTube family plan is well worth it because you don't have to look at any of the commercials! I hope they still have the plan we got because it's quite cheap per family if you get the maximum number of families you're allowed to include in the plan! I was watching over at a friend's house and I could not believe the commercials! Commercial free YouTube is well well worth it and if you use the family plan it's very affordable!

        I actually don't mind commercials at all, just not when it's the SAME 5 COMMERCIALS on a loop FOR MONTHS STRAIGHT. I switched to Pluto to watch all-day Dateline as suggested here.

    Agree! The one that drives me crazy is the home decor one where the lady comes into the house and screeches “OH MY GOOOOD!” I watch Dateline and leave it on all day but I have had enough.

    i thought i was the only one that was sick of rick eisen, the fake weird al movie, and martha stewart!!

    It's real funny when the commercials are in spanish... anyone else get random stretches where the commercials are in spanish (but important text on screen in english)?

    Yes, I completely agree. Right now, the Joker movie commercial plays every few minutes. Please stop, I don’t need to see violent commercials while I watch family friendly content. I have to keep muting the commercials. It’s making me not want to watch your service.

      AMa3 You can limit some types of the advertising by going to the settings, privacy, advertising, sensitive ad content, personalize ads and select those that you want to limit.  It won't take away everything, but should limit some of the content.

    I agree a 100% especially since I'm paying for this service. And I don't understand Spanish. I don't care to continue to be subjected to this. And I can't fast forward through it. So I'm stuck. Come on, do something.

    I would just like to subscribe to English.  I'll subtitle my own TV.

      The only commercials you see on paid TV are prescriptions from big pharma and medicare. I watched one hour and made a note: 7 out of every 10 commercials were these two. And over and over and over. The crooks at big pharma are so corrupt that their depression drug commercials end up causing depression. I mute all commercials or flip to other channels because I hate them so much. Trump 2024
