PS5 not showing when accessed on Roku TV

Both the PS5 and the cable box will show up in the app, but if I hit enter, I do not see it on the TV.  I have not used the TV in some time.  I did cancel my subscription to Roku, but was still able ...

    Welcome, holmdt​ 

    It seems that your PS5 is not displaying anything when you try to access it on your Roku TV. Could you tell us what the specific brand of your Roku TV is? Is it Hisense, ONN, TCL, Roku Select, etc. 

    In the meantime, try these steps.

    • Connect your PS5 to a different HDMI port on the same TV and use a different HDMI cable.
    • Restart your Roku TV. 
    • You can connect the PS5 to another TV to check if the problem is with the TV or the PS5.

    It is a TCL TV.  I hope to have time this weekend to try the ideas in the above posts.  Also, note in my post if I use the Steam TV icon, it does the same thing, it changes the icon to a small view of the TV program. The con for the PS5 will show the main screen of the PS5.  A restart might clear the cobwebs (bugs) out of the systems.
