You now have to open the Prime Video app (not Amazon App) on your phone.
Removing programs you want to remove FROM the Prime Video app:
- long hold on the video
- Next screen pop-up - make sure it’s not “on your watchlist” as if it is - it will not go away
- From this pop-up select “Hide This Video”
- it’ll take you back to main screen and your video should be gone
- if not, again, it’s on your watchlist
- worst user experience ever
when you open the Prime app in your Roku, the phone app and Prime app should be synced of “hidden videos”.
Took me literal 2 hours of searching to find this answer and test it.
Amazon App on Roku is officially the worst and has evoked a lot of backlash in recent reviews and deservedly so.
Can’t do it from the app anymore. I sure some moron at Amazon thought it would be a good idea to remove the feature from the Roku app so customers would be forced to login to Amazon to clean up their continue watching list. “Hey, if we make them go to the website, they might spend money on stuff while they are in there. Anyway, login to Prime video, press and hold (on a mobile device) the icon for the show you want to remove. A popup will show with the option to remove it.

Welcome!
I understand your concern regarding the removal of the continued watching on Amazon Prime's app.
If you reach out to Amazon Prime about their app, they’ll totally value your feedback! They really care and will make sure to address any concerns you have. It is important to note that most apps on Roku are directly managed by their respective channel providers.
