Hi DaveInAZ
Thank you for the post.
To address this issue, you can remove channels that you're not interested in from your Roku device. To do this, go to the Roku home screen, navigate to the channel you want to remove, press the * button on your remote, and select "Remove channel." This will remove the channel from your device and prevent it from appearing in the future.
We hope it helps!
Warm regards,
Lianna

Lianna: Thank you very much for your response. I am very familiar with pressing the "*" button while the app is highlighted on my Roku screen to remove that channel, and moving the arrow up to select "Remove Channel". The problem is that after doing that 2 specific channels re-appear after a day or two: AppleTV and Vix. I don't like anything Apple, and Vix is a Spanish language channel and I don't speak Spanish. I just fail to understand that after following your procedure to remove a channel they keep reappearing in a day or two, it is very annoying,
As for "Automatic updates", my two Roku Ultra players both received the OS 12.0 update last weekend, but two new channels appeared this morning: Crunchyroll and QVC/HSN. I removed them, and will be annoyed if they reappear. I know how to add channels that we may be interested in, Roku does not know my interests, so let me be judge of what I may be interested in.
Finally, my Roku password is a mix of Uppercase & lowercase letters + numbers + a special character, so I'm confident no one is accessing my Roku account.

Hi DaveInAZ
Thanks for the follow up regarding the issue you are experiencing with channels being added to your Roku devices.
Do you have any other Roku devices that are linked to your Roku account that may be affecting the channels being added to your Roku account? If you log into your Roku account online at my.roku.com, do you recognize all of the Roku devices that are linked to your Roku account?
Please keep us posted and we will be more than happy to continue assisting you. We look forward to hearing back from you.
Thanks,

Yes, I have 3 Roku devices connected in my Roku.com account: Ultra player in TV room; Ultra Player in Master Bedroom; Express 4K in Guest Bedroom. They are all in my Roku.com account so that they all have the same apps. My sister-in-law is visiting and says she sees the AppleTV app that keeps coming back every day on the guest bedroom Express 4K., yesterday it came back twice. I usually check my Master Bedroom Ultra in morning, and if I see AppleTV back I delete it using the "*" button the remote.

That does NOT stop it from happening in the future as your answer states. I have to physically remove that stupid VIX channel several times a week and it’s really starting to piss me off!
I’m doing the removal via Settings so don’t know how else to remove it permanently. I remove it and Roku keeps trying to force me to have it in my channels! I think they (Roku) are trying to convince the VIX channel owners that the station is in more households than it really is….like they’re inflating the numbers. I can’t think of any other reason why a platform would aggressively keep trying to force customers to add a channel they didn’t ask for and don’t want. That’s a sleazy business practice if that’s what’s happening.
