No Prime video or Disney +

Hi, I just purchased a Roku express model no. 3960X and I can’t add either Prime Video nor Disney+. YouTube and Netflix are fine though. Why is this? The remote has all 4 buttons. Apple, Netflix, Disney and prime.

    Those are two of the more widely distribute streaming channels.   Where are you located?

    Roku has more top streaming apps than any other streaming platform in the US (Circana/TV & Video App Availability Report, April 2023). That means there’s always something great to watch on Roku.  

    You’ll be able to watch free or paid entertainment from services like Netflix, Prime Video, The Roku Channel, and more. And there are thousands more apps for sports, news, international, and kids, including broadcast channels like ABC, CBS, and NBC.  

    Furthermore, in addition to what our Community expert provided above, please be informed that the Roku streaming platform is US-based. Although you may use your Roku device in different regions, there are only limited apps available depending on your location.

    I am located in Madagascar, and i am having the same issue. Does this mean Prime Video does not work in Madagascar South Africa?

      Unfortunately, some apps/broadcasters are restricted by location and may not be available in your area or may have limited content, regardless of subscription or not.  In this case, if you cannot access them, then they are not available there.

      You could reach out directly to Prime and/or Disney plus customer support directly to check their availability there or when they might be available there.
