If you haven't done this already. Try uninstalling the app, unplugging power to the device for 60 seconds and then reinstall. Sometimes clearing the cache helps.
Also, I would suggest rebooting your router.

The problem was the audio output. I had had it set to "Stereo," but ever since I switched it to "Passthrough," the problem has been no más!
