waynejessee, Roku accounts are tied to one region/country and can't be changed.  The region of an account controls what features and apps are available on the linked device and moving a device from its "home" region or using a Roku account that was created in one region in a different region will cause problems.  It's intentional and is not something Roku is ever likely to change.  Additionally, using a device in a region that Roku doesn't officially support will severely limit what features are available.  If you travel regularly from one region to another you either have to have multiple devices linked to different accounts or continually perform factory resets to link them to different Roku accounts.  Sorry, but that's just how it is.

  • I have the same problem. Roku tv.  I have lost all over the air antenna channels.  I have done a factory reset of the tv, and have tried rescanning multiple times.  I used to get 30 OTA local antenna channels and now zero of them are found.

      Hi Bobcat3 Alls,

      Welcome to the Roku Community!

Thanks for flagging us about this issue and we appreciate the effort in trying to resolve this.

We would like to know if performing a rescan on the channels helps. You can do this by navigating to Settings > TV inputs > Antenna TV > Scan again for channels. Then, right after, do a system reboot by navigating to Settings > System > Power > System restart.

Let us know if that works!

      Thanks,
      Rey

I did the 2 steps that you provided.  And then I scanned for antenna channels again.  No channels were found.  My antenna is hooked up and I’m very close to many local antenna channels.   This seems to be some change in the Roku system.

  • I experienced the same problem after update 13.0.0 a couple weeks ago.

    Not happy.

  • My Philco Tv was upgraded to  v. 13 more then a week ago and since then I’ve lost the ability to watch local channels. I tried a factory reset via software and  also pressed that button on the back of the TV for a reset but none of that worked. My internet connection is good, so it was not caused by that. The message I get when I click on Local Tv is that there was an error and I should search for new software updates, but I’m already on v. 13. Follows some extra info for referente: issue ID: RF-244-227, model G503X, serial number: X01200XG73RF (S0EN500G73RF), software: 13.0.0 , revision:24062-DL , G.C version: 11.7.22.  Any help is much appreciated.

  • some of my regular over the air channels have disappeared.  i'm in zip code 23452 and this started several months ago.  i no longer receive NBC.  i have tried rescanning the TV every week, but to no avail.  last week the channel name icons on the guide have become grey squares.  My brother's TV gets all the channels just fine.  Help!  I want to watch the olympics!!!

      Hi nhart23452,

      Thanks for letting us know.

We acknowledge your concern with Live TV channels. We'd be glad to help but we'll need more details.

Have you made changes to your location? Could you send us a photo of the channel icons? Lastly, Is the NBC channel the only channel missing?

      Please keep us updated

      Regards,
      Janadee

I have a new update for this terrible issue.

If I remove the TV from the wireless or wired network, or keep the TV blocked at my Internet router then the over-the-air Antenna channels will work, but streaming channels then fail (obviously).

Once I connect the TV back to the network then the local TV channels stop working.

Nothing has worked to get the local channels on the Roku. I have tried every suggestion. The crazy part is that I get tons of other channels but no local stations. If you can suggest something entirely different from everyone else, I will give it a shot but all other suggestions don’t work.

I have found the Roku TV software glitch that prevents Antenna TV stations from displaying.  Roku TV software needs to be updated so that it displays broadcast TV with the click of a mouse from the Home Page, LIKE IT USED TO.

I have a TCL Roku TV that I use to watch Svengoolie.  On the Home Page there used to be an icon of a TV screen that had what looks like Morse code (https://tinyurl.com/mr27c72t).  Roku recently updated their software that changed the icon so that it has what looks like an antenna on top (https://www.roku.com/blog/live-tv-zone), but unfortunately, when I select it, it only lists Streamed TV icons and does not list ANY broadcast channels.

I set up a chat with Roku but when I told them that the new icon no longer displayed the broadcast stations but they didn't seem to know what I was talking about.  They told me that there was no way that I could get the old icon back and to instead choose the new icon.

When I Googled ROKU TV ANTENNA CHANNELS MISSING I found that a number of people are having the same problem.  While everyone is complaining online, Roku claims to not be aware of any problem.

While there is a way to get broadcast TV channels it involves a somewhat awkward 7-step process:
    • From the Home Page, choose SETTINGS.
    • Choose TV INPUTS
    • Choose LIVE TV (with the Morse code icon)
    • Choose MANAGE CHANNELS
    • Choose MANAGE ALL CHANNELS (with Morse code icon). This displays a random internet + broadcast station that is on.
    • Press left arrow next to "OK" button on remote.  This displays the Streamed + Broadcast channel guide.
    • Scroll up to the numbered broadcast Antenna TV station category over the Streaming TV category.

Of course, this is more involved than clicking on an icon that takes you directly to broadcast TV on the Home Page.

Thank you for your suggested fix, VernonF. However, your 7 step process to get broadcast TV channels (shown below) does not work on my TCL Roku TV. After getting to step 7, I do not have an 'Antenna TV Station' category. I only get 'Favorite Channels' and 'Edit Managed Channesl'. I have to select 'Edit Managed Channels' then scroll up until the digital channels are shown. I check the box for each of my digital antenna channels. If I wait more than 5 seconds to check a channel box Roku gets rid of the managed channel screen leaving you with the last channel you had checked. Scrolling up or down leaves you from that antenna channel taking you to the 'All Channels' section. Again, Roku hasn't helped with anyone's requests. I just keep asking Roki to please just update the program bringing back our choice of selecting digital antenna TV channels easily.
      1. From the Home Page, choose SETTINGS.
      2. Choose TV INPUTS
      3. Choose LIVE TV (with the Morse code icon)
      4. Choose MANAGE CHANNELS
      5. Choose MANAGE ALL CHANNELS (with Morse code icon). This displays a random internet + broadcast station that is on.
      6. Press left arrow next to "OK" button on remote. This displays the Streamed + Broadcast channel guide.
      7. Scroll up to the numbered broadcast Antenna TV station category over the Streaming TV category.

        Hello Quiet General.

I should have said for step 6, you need to press the left arrow (next to the "OK" button) TWO times in a row.  In other words, when you see the "'Favorite Channels' and 'Edit Managed Channels'" screen, just press the left arrow button again.  At that point you'll be on the channel guide and hopefully you will then be able to scroll up and see your antenna stations.

Good luck and let me know how it goes!

        Sincerely,

        Vernon F.
