Installed apps are not showing up on the home screen

So, I just attempted add Real Americas Voice via a PC web browser. I don't normally add channels this way, but I have in the past and it worked as intended. The issue this time is that it did success...

    Status Update 3/27/2025: Great news! We believe that the issue should now be resolved. 

    Just double-check that you’ve got the latest software version.

    Here’s how:

    1. Press Home on your Roku remote
    2. Scroll and select Settings
    3. Select System
    4. Select Software update
    5. Select Check Now to manually check for updates

This issue is occurring across different devices and different channels/apps when being installed from the online Roku Channel Store.

Refer to makaiguy post describing the two methods (mobile app or secret menu) to remove and reinstall these individual apps.  Both methods should work for you.

After successfully uninstalling the app, recommended to restart the device and then install the channel/app from your device.

I'll just add that there is anecdotal evidence suggesting this is more likely to occur when adding a channel via the website than when adding via the Roku's user interface.

    Hey Community Users!

    We understand some of you are experiencing issues with installed apps not appearing on the home screen.

    Here's what you can do...

    1. Install the Roku mobile app on your mobile device.
    2. Sign in with your Roku account.
    3. Connect it to your Roku device. Here
    4. Remove the YouTube app through the Roku mobile app
    5. Add again

    If the app isn't showing up on your Roku device, navigate to Settings, System, and choose System Update. From there, select Check Now.

    If the issue persists, please provide the following information to assist further:
    • Roku device model, serial number, device ID, and OS version. (this can all be found in Settings > System > About)
    • Tracker ID (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button 5 times, followed by the Back button 5 times, and provide us with this ID)

      Looks like this has been going on since February.

      When do you think you may have it fixed?

      I tried to install an app last night and got all kinds of error messages but when I look on my computer it's installed. HOWEVER, it does not show up in my list 😞

        Ours is suddenly working properly again. Sling is appearing on our home screen.
