how do I record a single program instead of a series and how do I then delete it?

I am still learning about how to use the Roku and sling. I am sometimes able to record a program, but was told I must record the series, not a progra. Then a second program I wanted to record, couldn't seem to be recorded at all. Does anyone have a suggestions? And thank you for your previous answers

    Roku devices cannot record. If you are using a channel that offers recording, it's being done in the cloud, meaning it's all handled on the provider's side. You need to contact Sling and ask them how to use their recording functions. You might start here.
