How do I delete an app on Roku that is NOT on the home screen?

Hello,

This may seem like a unique situation (I’m not sure if this is common), but it is incredibly frustrating.

I downloaded an app (Tablo), but it never showed up on the home screen with all the others. If I search it in the app store I can open it there, but I don’t think I can delete it that way. I assume this is a glitch.

I need to delete the app because it does not work properly- the shows do not play. It’s probably a simple uninstall-reinstall, but I am unable to do that. Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

    I am having similar issues as above. missing app on device (Ultra) app page. Found app during search for the app and using the "what to watch" as well. It was on the apps on what to watch but i could not delete it from there. I tried deleting the app using the roku  mobile app.

    I tried the same technique to delete the app as when i am using a roku device. it did not work. is there another way to delete on roku mobile app?

    Any more information on how to delete from mobile app?

      I understand that you're experiencing issues deleting an app. You mentioned that you have tried the Roku Mobile App. 

      Can we please try deleting the app again from there, and follow these steps below?

      1. Open the Roku mobile app on your phone or tablet.
      2. Tap the Devices tab at the bottom and connect to your Roku device.
      3. Once connected, tap Remote to bring up the virtual remote.
      4. Then, search for the specific app you want to delete. 
      5. Tap the app, and select "Remove"

    Try:

    1)  Using the remote:  Home (5x), Up (2x), L, R, L, R, L

    2)  Scroll (U/D or FF/RW) app list until you see Tablo or Legacy Tablo (depending on which you installed)

    3)  Select, then Remove Channel, then Home

    4)  Restart:  Settings/System/<Power>/System restart
