HDCP Error 020 due to Vizio V435-H11 4K TV?

I have a Vizio V435-H11 LED 4K UHD TV manufactured in 2020.  I have a Roku Model 4670RW Ultra 4K HDR.  I use a Monoprice 4K Slim Certified Premium High Speed HDMI cable to connect the Roku to the TV HDMI input.  I'm getting an error from Roku saying "to play this content, all HDMI connections must support HDCP 2.2." (error 020).

Since all 3 components state that they support 4K content, it seems like I should be able to watch 4K content from Roku on my TV, but I get this error.  The error message only stays up for a second and then the content plays, but I guess not in 4K and often blurry (although this may be an unrelated bandwidth error, it only occurs when watching content via the Roku).

The Vizio user manual doesn't have the term HDCP in it anywhere, so even though I read elsewhere that the TV must be HDCP compliant (since it has 3 2.1 HDMI inputs), I take it that the TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant.

Vizio said to call Roku, Roku chat tells me to call Vizio calling it a Vizio hardware problem.  But Roku chat support doesn't simply tell me that the TV is not HDCP 2.2 compliant which mystifies me.  When I check the Roku display settings, the 4K setting displays a picture which says it should work.  Roku Chat doesn't tell me I should change the display setting to 1080P.

Is there any way to play 4K content (say, from an app like Netflix) from the Roku on the TV without a splitter?

Also, since my TV is 4K, if I watch 4K content from Netflix using the Netflix app on the TV itself (instead of using the Roku), wouldn't that at least be 4K?  Thanks!

    haptrail-

If you have "Settings > System > Power > Auto power savings > After 20 minutes of no interaction" enabled, try disabling it.

Thanks, but I do not have a "power" setting under "system".

        Hi haptrail,

Thanks for keeping us updated here in the Roku Community!

We're glad to assist you with your problem with the HDCP error. Please check out this link here on why HDCP 2.2 is important to playing 4K Ultra HD or HDR content and what you can do if you see that error message. You can also check out this link here on what to do if you cannot stream, let's say, Netflix 4K Ultra HD content. With regards to restarting your Roku Ultra, please go to Settings > System > Power (if you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step) > System restart.

        We hope this helps.

        Kind regards,

        Eunice
