Fox News Live Not Loading Past 13%

My Roku TV will not load FOX NEWS past 13%. What should I do?

  • Hi, tbirdjoel

Greetings, and welcome here to the Roku Community.

Thank you for contacting us and bringing to our attention the issue you are facing with the Fox News app. We understand how this affects your streaming experience, and we are here to help you resolve the problem.

    1. Navigate to the channel tile on the Roku home screen, press the star (*) key on your remote, and choose "Remove channel".
    2. Next, restart your device from Settings > System > Power > System Restart (If you do not see a Power submenu, skip to the next step).
    3. Once your player/TV starts up again, go to "Streaming Store" on the Home screen, and add the channel back once more.
    4. You may also refer to this link: How to resolve a channel playback issue | Official Roku Support

If the issue persists after performing the provided troubleshooting step, you may want to contact the channel provider's support directly and inquire further about this issue for a workaround that needs an update on their end to resolve this since most channels on the Roku platform are designed and maintained by the channel providers themselves.

    Best wishes,
    Kash

Having the EXACT same issue on all devices. Have removed, reloaded, updated, etc. Roku's answer is to "call Fox News." Great help ..... ugh.  This started a few weeks ago.  Was working perfectly previously.

I’m having the same trouble. App times out and will not open. Worked fine before and no problems with all other apps.

        Hi Mwoodson,

        Welcome to the Roku Community!

We understand that you're having issues with Fox News Live not loading Past 13%. We're happy to look into this. We would recommend that you try the following steps:

        • Remove the channel >> Restart the device (Settings > System > System Restart) >> Add channel.
        • Update the channel by highlighting the app and pressing the star button on your remote.

If the issue is persistent after performing the above steps, please provide us the following details:

        1. Roku device or TV model, serial number, device ID, and software OS/version (these can all be found in Settings > System > About).
        2. Tracker ID when this issue occurs (when you see this issue occur, press the Home button five times, followed by the Back button five times, and provide us with this ID).

Once a few more pieces of information have been gathered, we will be able to pass them along to the appropriate support team to investigate further. We look forward to hearing back from you.

        Sincerely,
        Janadee

  • it just the Fox NEWS app and only for -Live- streaming "Fox news go" or "Fox Business". "Fox weather" and on-demand videos stream no problem within the Fox News app. -- was working well for months prior to today 04.hot wire.

oh and have tried with two different cable provider authorizations. spectrum & hotwire.
