  •  I can see the Viki interface and the trailers run, but when I try to view the drama series I’ve been watching or any series, Viki gives me the following message:

“There has been an unexpected issue. Please check your internet connection and try again”

However, my internet connection is fine. I can view videos on other services, just not Viki

I tried rebooting the Roku and that didn’t solve the problem. I went to network settings on the Roku and checked the connection to the internet. It was fine (as expected). Then I disconnected and reconnected successfully to the internet, but the problem still persists

Viki has been problematic like this since yesterday (June 13) at 7:30 EDT in the US.  There's a message thread over on the Viki forum where several others have had the same experience since yesterday

One other observation: I can successfully view Viki dramas on any of my PCs with no problem, just not with the Roku

I've posted in the Viki forum about this too.  Something has changed with Viki or Roku that has precipitated this problem

The problem seems to be on Viki's end.  Pushing "Continue Watching" just gets the error message.

Here's a workaround that's worth trying, and is currently successful for me on my Roku Ultra:

      1. Go into the series page.  2. Press Episodes.  3.  Scroll to the episode you'd like to see, and enter from there.

Hopefully this will work for others.

I have the same issue with watching Viki on Roku.  My internet is working as I am able to watch on Netflix, Prime and Disney.

Similar issue. Viki isn’t working on Roku. On play, app exits out. Tried all the recommended steps to resolve to no avail.

      • Roku device model, Device ID, Serial Number, and Software version (4802X-Roku Ultra, S0DA22A09GUN, X01000J09GUN, 14.5)
      • Tracker ID (UN-238-479)
      • App build version (25.4 build 0)
