[Solved] Service Interruption with Google Home/Alexa Commands & Device Connection

Hey everyone!

If you were experiencing issues with your smart home device not connecting or Google Home/Alexa commands not working.

Status Update 8/13 9 AM PST: We believe the issue is now resolved.

  • I factory reset all my Roku plugs, 6 came back and are seen in Roku and Alexa but 7 of them still have "Device Unresponsive" in Alexa even after several Factory resets.

    These 7 are seen in Roku but not in Alexa

        Hi Emmanuel, As of Sat 8/4/25 two of seven of my Roku smart plugs came back but I purchased 5 NEW Roku smart plugs which were recognized by Alexa instantly. I will be returning the defective plugs.

        As of today 3 out of 4 of my Roku smart bulbs which were working last night are now not recognized by Alexa. I will now go purchase replacement Roku Bulbs and return these instead of wasting time trying to get them working.

        All these Roku devices (plugs & bulbs) are less than a month old, why are they not working? What is Roku doing that is causing such havoc. Some plugs have been in for months with no issues until recently when most went out all at the same time.
